John Taylor from Southern England has been a professional display pilot for over thirty years, operating his own display team as well as working for sponsored teams throughout Europe and overseas.

His main speciality has been formation aerobatics, winning numerous awards and accolades along the way.

He now concentrates on independent coaching and training with clients ranging from his homeland, across most of Europe and more recently international locations, such as Indo-China, Central and Eastern Europe and occasionally United States and South America.

With extensive flying experience in specialist light aircraft, he is a Flight Instructor, Display Authorising Evaluator together with separate roles as a Consultant and Safety Director in the General Aviation sector.

Through his career, the primary focus has always been on airmanship and excellence in a variety of sport flying activities. He was very much involved in the first European Formula One Air Racing, his best result becoming Winner of the Pau Grand Prix Air Race in the mid 1970’s.

He has great enthusiasm for the new Class Racing Formula and can see opportunities for current owner/operators to enjoy a unique challenge in the forthcoming ARC - Air Race Championship series.
